Promises2Kids was originally founded as the Child Abuse Prevention Foundation. Since 1981, Promises2Kids has been fighting child abuse and child neglect throughout San Diego County. Thus far, the organization has distributed $21 million for the prevention and care of neglected and abused children and has also provided various services to over 160,000 children including those in the foster care system.
