San Diego Roots Sustainable Food Project

The San Diego Roots Sustainable Food Project is a non-profit educational charity that believes that where you buy your food affects your health and the health of your community. The organization is made up of citizens, farmers, chefs, teachers and students with a common goal in mind: the consumption of local food. Roots promotes small family farms and local food businesses, supports school gardens and helps educate people about the benefits of eating locally-grown food. They hold public meetings every Monday from 4 to 5:30pm in the community room of the Ocean Beach People’s Organic Food Co-op, at 4765 Voltaire Street in San Diego.
