The United States Institute of Amateur Athletics (USIAA) is an organization which lifts up inner-city youth and empowers them through “Olympic style” athletic events. The organization’s core values are hard work, commitment and integrity. They work on preventing violent behavior and gang membership in youth by teaching them people-skills and confidence through sports.
